This cartridge is surrounded by a
porous polyethylene shell which
contains highly purified activated
coconut shell granular carbon. The
outer shell functions to prefilter
contaminates as liquid flows from
the outside in. Once past the shell
the carbon granules serves to
remove organics in the liquid which
then flows through a 3 micron
inner wound layer of
polypropylene media for polishing
depth filtration. This cartridge can
also remove organics in gases like
oil mist, water vapor, fine dust and
scale particles. The polyethylene
shell possesses superb filtering
and coalescing attributes. Most of
the oil/water contaminates will be
trapped and collected in the shell.
